Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information SocialMediaSchedular.com ("we", "us", "our") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the SocialMediaSchedular scheduling application. By using the site you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account we collect your name, email address and a securely stored authentication identifier provided through Firebase Authentication. We never receive or store your password in plain text.

Connected social accounts. If you connect a social media account, we receive an access token and basic profile information (such as account name, username and profile image) through that platform's official OAuth authorisation flow. We use the token only to schedule and publish the posts you ask us to publish, and to display your account in your dashboard.

Content you create. Drafts, scheduled posts, captions, media you upload and settings you save in the app are stored so the service can work — for example in our PostgreSQL-based database and associated file storage.

Email. Transactional emails (such as sign-in, verification and service notices) are delivered through Resend. If you email us, we keep your message and address so we can reply.

Usage and device data. Like most websites we may collect standard log data — pages visited, browser type, device type, approximate region and timestamps — to keep the service secure, fix errors and understand which features are useful.

Free tools. The free generators and counters in our tools hub run entirely in your browser. Text you type into them is not uploaded to or stored on our servers.

2. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for: (a) essential functions such as keeping you signed in and remembering preferences; (b) analytics that help us understand how the site is used; and (c) advertising, described in the next section. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; essential cookies are required for signed-in features to work.

3. Google AdSense and third-party advertising cookies

We use Google AdSense to display advertising on public pages of this site. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info. For more about how Google uses data, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. Advertising is never shown inside your private account workspace in a way that uses your private content.

4. How we use information

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Service providers we share data with

We share the minimum necessary data with providers that operate parts of the service: hosting and deployment (Vercel), authentication (Firebase / Google), email delivery (Resend), database hosting for our PostgreSQL-based database, the social platforms you connect (Meta/Instagram/Facebook, TikTok, Google/YouTube, X, LinkedIn) when publishing on your behalf, and advertising (Google AdSense) as described above. Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy and terms.

6. Data retention and security

We keep account and content data while your account is active and delete or anonymise it within a reasonable period after account deletion, except where the law requires longer retention. We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls and OAuth tokens instead of passwords for connected accounts. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify affected users of a material breach where required by law.

7. Your rights (GDPR, UK GDPR and CCPA/CPRA)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent; and (for California residents) to know what categories of personal information are collected and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" — we do not sell personal information. To exercise any right, email support@socialmediaschedular.com and we will respond within the time required by applicable law (normally within 30 days). You may also disconnect a social account at any time in the app or in that platform's settings, which revokes our access token.

8. Children

This service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA) and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses offered by those providers.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy and will change the "last updated" date above; significant changes will be announced on this page. Questions: email support@socialmediaschedular.com.
