Instagram Carousel Post Generator
Carousels are Instagram's save and share machines: a strong cover earns the first swipe, each slide earns the next, and a summary slide earns the save. They also get shown to followers twice if the first slide did not land — a second chance no other format gives you.
This generator writes complete carousel outlines for your topic: the cover headline, the sequence of teaching slides with one idea each, and the closing summary plus call to action. Design each slide from the outline in your usual app and post.
How it works
Enter your topic, choose the number of points your carousel will teach, and click Generate. Each outline gives you slide-by-slide text. Keep slides to one idea and a maximum of about 25 words each — if a slide needs more, it is two slides.
Instagram tips & best practices
- The cover is a headline, not a title: '5 Mistakes…' outperforms 'My Thoughts On…'. The cover's only job is earning the swipe.
- End every slide mid-thought: Phrases like '…and the third one is the worst' pull the next swipe. Never resolve a slide completely.
- Design for the screenshot: A summary slide people screenshot is a save and a share at once. Put your best checklist there.
- First comment carries the depth: Put sources, extra detail and your keyword-rich explanation in the caption, keeping slides clean.
- 10 slides is a ceiling, not a target: Most carousels do best at 5–8 slides. Completion matters more than volume.
Frequently asked questions
How many slides can an Instagram carousel have?
Up to 20 slides, but 5–10 is the practical range for completion and saves. This generator writes outlines in that range.
Do carousels or Reels grow an account faster?
Reels usually win new reach; carousels win depth, saves and profile visits from existing and new viewers. Growing accounts use both weekly.
What size should carousel slides be?
1080 × 1350 px (4:5 portrait) takes the most feed space and is the recommended size for new carousels.
Should the first slide include a photo of me?
Faces help covers get tapped, but a bold text cover with a clear promise works just as well for educational content. Test both.
Is this carousel generator free?
Yes — free with no sign-up, running in your browser.
