Case Converter
Case mistakes are small but expensive: a SHOUTING caption pasted from a spreadsheet, a title typed in all-lowercase, a name whose capitals your keyboard ate. Retyping is slow and introduces new errors, especially in long captions, scripts and descriptions.
Paste your text below and convert it in one click — UPPERCASE for short emphatic lines, lowercase for a deliberately relaxed style, Title Case for video titles and headings, Sentence case for clean captions, or alternating case for playful posts — plus a tidy-up that removes double spaces and stray blank lines.
How it works
Paste your text, click the case you want, and the converted version appears in the same box, ready to copy. Conversions happen instantly in your browser; use your browser's undo (Ctrl/Cmd+Z) if you need the original back.
All Platforms tips & best practices
- Title Case suits titles, not captions: Video titles and headlines look right in Title Case; full captions in Title Case look like a legal document.
- ALL CAPS is a spice, not a meal: One short line in caps adds emphasis; a whole post in caps reads as shouting and hurts readability (and accessibility).
- Sentence case is the friendly default: Most modern brands write captions in sentence case — it reads like a person talking.
- Watch proper nouns after converting: Lowercase and sentence case will flatten names like 'iPhone' or 'McDonald's' — fix names before posting.
- Screen readers and case: Long uppercase strings are sometimes read letter-by-letter by assistive tech. Prefer sentence case for important information.
Frequently asked questions
What is Title Case?
The first letter of each main word is capitalised (The Quick Brown Fox). Small words like 'and', 'the' and 'of' are usually lowercased mid-title — this tool capitalises every word for simplicity, so adjust small words if you prefer strict style.
What is sentence case?
Only the first letter of each sentence (and proper nouns) is capitalised — the way normal sentences are written. This tool capitalises after full stops.
Does converting case change my characters count?
No — case conversion never changes the number of characters, so a caption that fit before still fits.
Can I undo a conversion?
The tool does not store the original, but the text sits in an editable box — use Ctrl/Cmd+Z in the box to step back, or re-paste your original.
Is this converter free?
Yes, completely free and private; it works entirely in your browser.
